At JM, you drive development forward, and together we build the societies of the future.
Are you someone who thrives on ensuring that sustainability work flows smoothly in practice? As a Sustainability Coordinator at JM, you play a key role in the development of our residential projects and have the chance to help shape housing that is Swan Ecolabel certified. Here, you join an organization where quality, long-term thinking, and sustainability are fundamental cornerstones.
About the role
You are the one who supports our projects in achieving goals and requirements related to sustainability, particularly regarding environmental labeling, material assessment, and resource usage. The role combines advisory, monitoring, and communication tasks – and suits you if you enjoy development and being a practical enabler.
As a Sustainability Coordinator, you become part of the Sustainability Department within the Group Strategy and Development staff, working closely with the project organization in Sweden. At the same time, you are responsible for driving development in your areas across the entire group, which includes Sweden, Norway, and Finland. The role reports to Sustainability Manager Johanna Wikander.
Your responsibilities
You act as a support to the project operations and have extensive internal contacts and collaborations. You combine expertise in sustainability with a business perspective.
The tasks may vary but primarily include:
- Supporting the Swan Ecolabeling of projects through, for example, material and product assessments.
- Coordinating and driving the development and monitoring of goals for circularity and waste for the group.
- Maintaining and developing relevant parts of our business system, such as templates, checklists, and communication on the intranet and website.
- Monitoring the external environment for new and upcoming requirements within sustainability and the environment.
Your profile
You have a university or college degree in a relevant field, such as civil engineering, construction, or technology with an environmental focus. We are looking for you who have approximately 5 years of experience in sustainability work within construction or project development. You have a solid foundation and are eager to develop further.
Experience with environmental certifications such as the Swan Ecolabel, BREEAM, or Miljöbyggnad is highly meritorious.
To thrive in this role, you have strong initiative and are goal- and result-oriented. You enjoy creating structure, improving processes, and gain energy from collaboration. Very good knowledge of Swedish is required for the role, as well as good knowledge of English.
What we offer
We offer you a position at Scandinavia's leading residential developer. With strong profitability, we have been driving the development of the housing market since 1945. A key to our success is our structured way of working, which we have established and developed for many years. Here, you don't need to reinvent the wheel, but you will become a vital part of constantly improving it. Here, you have the conditions to grow both in your professional role and in your competence.
With us, you influence how future societies are shaped. Here, we value your competence and contribution, and we work long-term to promote equality and diversity. We contribute to a society where the equal value of people stands at the center and where differences are seen as a strength. With the human in focus, built-in long-term sustainability work, and through constant development, we create homes and living environments that lay the foundation for a better life.
At JM, you are part of a team where your competence and contribution are important for us to continue delivering and getting better.
Application and employment
The position is a permanent full-time employment, with a six-month probationary period, and you will be located at our headquarters in Solna.
We warmly welcome your application via the link. The selection process begins in week 33, considering holidays. For questions, please contact [email protected] or [email protected].
